高崎達摩起源於少林山達磨寺，由一位僧侶為了幫助貧苦農民而開始製作。其圓滾造型代表「七轉八起」的精神。
Takasaki Daruma originated from Shorinzan Daruma Temple, created by a monk to help impoverished farmers. Its round shape represents the "fall down seven times, stand up eight" spirit.
